Scott was first licensed in 2006 and now holds an Extra Class License

Former Summits on the Air Association Manager for Idaho and awarded the SOTA Mountain Goat award in 2014 and has activated 240 unique SOTA Summits in 19 states

Current Parks on the Air Volunteer Mapping Coordinator for Idaho and has activated 159 of the 311 Idaho Parks

In the past three years Ihe has focused on VHF contesting an set state, division, and national records for various ARRL and CQ contests For the 2024 Idaho QSO Party, the Spud Run, N7OOS and Scott set a record for activating 11 counties in 24 hours

In April of this year several of us got together and formed an ARRL Affiliated Contest Club, AI7ID All Idaho Contest Club, also known as the Dirty Dozen. We are a unique group of individuals with experts in most areas of amateur radio with a focus on radio competition. Our primary goal is to compete and put Idaho on the map, and also to learn and share new skills and operating techniques

Scott has just started using FT8 and MSK digital modes in July of this year and recently made his first meteor scatter contact. His future goals are to earn the ARRL VUCC and DXCC awards
