Greetings,
We had a great meeting last night (28 May 2026) at Idaho Pizza on Glenwood. We made plans for Field Day in June (27 June is Field Day). Once again, thanks to David, KK7RPZ, we will have the pavilion behind the State of Idaho Campus off of Chinden Blvd. We will have the place from 8:00 AM onward. The plan is to set up before noon and have a BBQ lunch at noon. Then operate as long as individuals want. You bring your own radios. We won’t be keeping score on contacts. The idea is to set up and operate as you want to and enjoy the day. Alicia has a sign up sheet for side dishes. Signing up also helps with making sure we order enough BBQ for those attending. As before, the club provides the BBQ.
Talk-in will be on the 146.94 repeater. I should have a talk-in station up and running by 10:00 AM.
Members also tested antennas, tested radios, programmed radios and talked about radios. It appeared the meeting was a success so perhaps we need to plan on doing this sort of session once a year. I would suggest May would be a good candidate for next year’s session.
The June meeting is Field Day. No Thursday meeting in June. The July meeting will have a presentation on Starlink from Scott, N7TTT. The August meeting could have a presentation on the Intermountain Intertie system. I need to reach out to those folks and see if I can bring in a presenter for that.

Reminder, we now have club patches! If you want a club patch, see Alicia at the next meeting. Here is photo. It has an iron-on backing. Price is $8 each.

Our Weekly Radio Net is doing well. We are still averaging about 22 Check-Ins week to week. If you haven’t checked in and would like to, the Frequency is 146.94 with a PL of 100. We do the net on Sunday night at 7:00 PM.
If you have an idea for future presentation topics or would like to present something yourself, feel free to email K7BSE14694@gmail.com.
Thanks to all who attended.
Again a Reminder: we have a weekly ISRA Club Radio Net on Sunday nights at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to check in. The ISRA Repeater is 146.94 with a PL of 100. We look forward to hearing you on the air!
